The condition of the brake fluid in vehicles is an important factor for road safety. The effects of the hygroscopic nature of brake fluid are increased viscosity (delayed braking action), a lower boiling point and severe corrosion in the braking system. The timely replacement of used brake fluid ensures the road safety of the vehicle and the effective service life of the braking system.

Electronic brake fluid tester with membrane keypad for DOT 4 brake fluid. Results are indicated by 3 LEDs representing the percentage of water content in the brake fluid. Supplied in solid plastic case.

Indication:
GREEN 0…1% = brake fluid is o.k.
GREEN + YELLOW appr. 2% = change brake fluid soon
GREEN, YELLOW + RED > 3% = change brake fluid immediately
